What to Bring

The following is a suggested packing list. We all are individuals and often have personal preferences and opinions as to what to bring. Why the following is not a definitive list, but should give you a good guide as to what you should pack for your trip to Mongolia.

Clothing

Waterproof, breathable jacket (suggest Gore-tex or similar with hood)
Waterproof, breathable pants
Light synthetic or down fill jacket (recommended, but optional)
Fleece or wool vest
Fleece jacket or wool sweater (suggest one heavy and one mid-weight)
Casual long and short pants (suggest quick-dry)
Long/short-sleeve shirt
Underwear
Socks, wool, smart wool, or similar
Long underwear pant (suggest mid-weight poly-pro, smart wool, capilene, or similar)
Long-sleeve, long underwear shirt (suggest one heavy and two mid-weight poly-pro,
Warm hat (fleece or wool)
Gloves and/or mittens
Bandana, light scarf, or muff
Sun hat
Hiking boots (well broken in)
Comfortable walking shoes (waterproof or water resistant)
Camp sandals/vaing shoes (suggest Chacos, Crocs or similar)
Money belt
Day backpack

Power bank
Headlamp or flashlight
Chargers and adapters or universal plug

Toiletries and medicines

Toiletry Kit (suggest ecologically appropriate soap/shampoo)
Sunscreen for body, face and lips. This is a must, the sun is intense in Mongolia
Insect repellent
